Carshalton will welcome its fourth Frost Fair on Saturday 5th December. Friends of Honeywood Museum and local charity EcoLocal are organising the event and once again keen to spread the word about a highlight in the local events calendar.
In the beautiful setting next to Carshalton Ponds, the Frost Fair will run from 1-6pm and promises to be a traditional winter event with activities for all of the family. Outside Honeywood Museum and in the nearby Memorial Gardens there will be stalls from the Wallington Farmers Market, offering a varied range of tasty treats and a variety of craft stalls will be selling wonderful gift ideas such as glassware, pottery, woodcraft and more. They’ll also be a tasty hog roast & seasonal food with bar & warming drinks.
As it gets darker, the area will be lit with twinkling fairy lights and you can do some shopping. There will also be Choirs, Carol Singing, Folk & Popular Music, Jazz & Brass Bands and Morris & Clog Dancers, all with a seasonal feel.
For the 1st time this year, we will be holding a Frost Fair Fancy Dress Competition - prizes for best dressed adult and best dressed child to be awarded on the day by the Mayor between 3.30 and 4pm. So why not come in Frost Fair fancy dress?!
Inside Honeywood Museum will be Father Christmas’ Grotto, a Christmas Magic Show and Storytelling. Why not head to the Honeywood Café for mulled wine, mince pies and food and drink for a well earned rest? The Friends of the Ecology Centre will be running their Christmas Fair alongside the Frost Fair from 1-4pm, providing more activities for families, offering the chance to enjoy their Winter Wonderland Trail.
