Revised plans for the Cadet Hut are out for consultation.  They have removed one house, leaving the four storey and one three storey house.  End date for comments is 6 November.  You can find more details here

sorry about the 'typo', it has been de-delegated not de-elegated!!!

Great news Jeff. Let us hope that sense prevails.

Good to hear an update.  I too have objected to the development due to mass, height and loss of light.  It is the last day of consultation if anyone else wanted to submit any comments.  The NDG have information on how to do this online.

A quick update on the Cadet Hut planning application. Ward Councillor Margaret Court is backing the objections to this and has had the application 'de-elegated'. Basically this means that this cannot be now accepted by the planning department alone and will have to go to a full council meeting for approval/rejection sometime in the next few weeks. Thank you to all 12 of the homeowners in Corbet Close (that I am aware of) who submitted their objections to the planning department in Denmark Road.

Hi Warren, see my note posted in 'Moans and Groans'. We certainly have issues with this development as briefly outlined in above note. Cheers, Jeff

I really hope that bin stores and/or recycling facilities on the new estate will be away from the river bank, so we don't see a repeat of the rat problem that we've had for the last few years.

Thanks for the correction Pauline.  It is good to hear that the owners that will be affected by the new development do not have any problems.

The design of these houses will enhance the redevelopment of Corbet Close. Plot 2 and 3 are over three floors not four, plot 1 is over four floors. Having spoken to a couple of the house owners backing onto these development, they donot have any issues.
