Senga Rd - (Total destruction Assured)

I just received a communication from Developers asking to buy part of my garden. All of the occupants along the North side of Senga Road also got letters. There is nothing we can do to stop this. Some residents will agree to sell off there land others wont. Those who won.t will be offered more money and some of them will then sell their land. Also as houses naturally go up for sale - the developers will buy them and move in one of their employees until enough land is purchased to begin building…See More

I passing I've noticed some bits missing from the "NEW" Centrale building on the old Kilpatricks site. There is a 2 foot x 3 foot decorative piece of perspex missing from a 2nd floor area. Also a grey decorative tile from another 2nd floor area. Also a length of drain pipe about to fall from a great height. I recommed hard hats if taking a stroll close to this poorly constructed building.See More

Further tree mutilation

The council have sent in the tree surgeons again to further mutilate the beautiful tres behind Senga Rd. This line of trees used to line the old carriageway to the CULVERS mansion. One reason why I bought my house was because of this little piece of rural splendour. These surgeons are returning more and more frequently and clearly are hired in from inner city areas where nobody understands how a tree should look. Ever time the trees are hacked backed to the trunk and take 2 seasons to even…See More

Profile Information

About me
A Senga Rd resident with occasional interest in local history and a desire not to see Hackbridge loose anymore of its identity through further urbanisation. I'm highly desirous of a rapid landscaped reclaimation of the landfill site and wish that this could soon enable me to enjoy unbroken countryside from Beddington Village right through to the Ravensbury Arms.
